Hi, I'm Ashley Cosler, founder of Misfitz and Pits Rescue. Animals have always held a special place in my heart—from the tiniest kittens to the most misunderstood bully breeds. Before starting Misfitz and Pits, I spent years volunteering with various shelters and rescues, learning everything I could about animal care, rehabilitation, and advocacy. Misfitz and Pits was born from a deep passion for giving every animal, especially the overlooked and underestimated, a real chance at love and a forever home. This isn’t just a rescue—it's a community where misfits belong and second chances happen every day.

Misfitz and Pits Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to giving unwanted, abandoned, and overlooked animals a second chance at life. We believe every animal deserves love, compassion, and a safe place to call home—no matter their breed, background, or medical needs. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals into loving, forever families, while also advocating for responsible pet ownership and education within our community.
